Orientation Helps New Students Overcome Nervousness About Studying in a New Country

Before the beginning of each semester, Mizzou brings incoming international students together for International Student Welcome orientation. It covers the basics like campus life, transportation, opening bank accounts, choosing a cell phone provider, and so on, however it’s perhaps most importantly about getting to know each other and building relationships that you will carry with you into the future.

For students attending the Fall 2014 International Student Welcome, it provided the opportunity to not only meet new friends and get to know the Mizzou community better, but also helped them overcome their nervousness about studying in a new country:
